Androcracy or Gylany
Death is occult to men. Life is occult to women. Women form a cult of life. Men form a cult of death.
In The Chalice and the Blade, Riane Eisler gives us this pair of terms: androcracy, to refer to the rule by men with which we are all too familiar, and gylany, a new name for an ancient way of living, the society of balance and compassionate cooperation for which we yearn.
